I received a very large television from a friend who recently upgraded to a flat panel LCD. As soon as the novelty wore off, the television became a burden as it ate up my entire front room. It needed to go. Conveniently, I was in a show at LAXArt in which I intended to screen my video Object Lessons. I used the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I placed an ad on craigslist stating that the television and a DVD player would be free for the taking at the close of the opening reception. An inordinate number of people called the gallery requesting the TV be held for them. A dozen or so showed up at the opening. But at the end of the night only two parties remained. They split it down the middle. One took the DVD player. The other the television. Below is the original post and documentation from the opening.
